A small studio, deliberately.
Fiveyards is an independent creative and media studio based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. We work with a small number of clients at a time on brand direction, content and production — carefully, and in the open.
FIVEYARDS MEDIA is the trading name of Five Yards Media LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates and based in Sharjah. The studio works on brand direction, content and production — usually as an extension of a client’s own team rather than as a detached supplier.
The name comes from the last stretch of ground: the part of the work where an idea either becomes something usable or quietly falls short. That final distance is where we spend our attention.
We keep the studio small on purpose. The people who scope a project are the people who make it, which means fewer handovers, fewer misunderstandings and a shorter route from a conversation to a decision.
Where a project needs specialist skills we do not hold in-house, we say so and bring in trusted collaborators under our direction, with that arrangement stated in the scope rather than hidden behind it.

The studio takes on a limited number of engagements so the people who scope the work are the people who make it.
Written before visual
Every engagement begins with a written understanding of the objective, the audience and the constraints. Design follows the argument, not the other way round.
Made to be used
Work is delivered in the formats, sizes and file structures the client's team actually publishes with, along with the notes needed to use them well.
